   @rohan: This isn’t a strike against Modern Art. I’m talking about Installation Art. And more specifically Interactive Installation Art. It’s just getting too bizarre. Sure, art is always interpretive and you can put up shit as art and if your audience appreciates that… well you have Artsy Shit (and not shitty Art). Case in point.

    The whole concept of Living objects and their shit or genitals as a piece of Art is wierd, but its happening! Maybe some new senses will be brought into action in future by new artists

    Since art is such an interpretive field, I guess using living objects as part of the art can be excused. As long as the person/animal is not being exploited. Starving a dog for entertainment is barbaric.

    People can be used brilliantly. Check the cool people at Improv Everywhere. They “cause scenes”.

    i know “funny” is a subjective term, and you cant create something thatz funny to all the people all the time..

    it would be nice to see some current affairs on your comic. that way, there would be no dearth of “irritations” to poke fun at.

    @linus: Thank you. That’s a very honest comment, and I was only kidding when I replied to ame in previous comments. The thing is… it’s hard to know what’ll work and what wont. The best approach (I think) is to do what >I< find funny. Not being an ego maniac here, but just using myself as a judge of funniness. In any case the regular readers of your comic/blog are usually people who share your kind of humor.

    I CAN do some current affair things, but the deal is… it takes a while for me to get to a comic from an idea. By the time the comic comes out, the thing is over. Like the Large Hadron Collidor comic. It came out weeks after the world was supposed to end. And I dont feel too good making comics about current affairs regularly. That’s what the newspaper comics are supposed to do. Although a few references to popular culture wont hurt. Will try to increase their frequency. Thanks for the inputs

    @pri: I never said Modern Art is bad. Although I think the term Modern Art is a little abused one.. at least with Us-The-Uninitiated-In-The-Mysteries-Of-Art. A lot of times the term Abstract art is mistaken for Modern Art… in short, if a painting doesn’t make sense (i.r. it’s not a portrait or landscape), it’s Modern Art I’m sure the artists are all furious about this.

    @crucifire: Haven’t seen the More Crap episode. Will do now Thanks to the cool people of South Park, all episodes are freely available. And that too for a world audience, unlike the bastards at Hulu.com who wish to draw borders on the internet.

    Totally appreciate and understand your thoughts on “current affairs” fading off by the time you release your comic.

    How about giving an intro of your “regular” charachters, on making an “introductions” page?

    for e.g: the “pregnant” manager talks about his life (or lack of it) and how he derives a sadistic orgasm every time he acts the jerk and pulls people down?

    or say the “agony” uncle talking about his childhood days..

    something liek that! that would give the charachters a 3 dimension, and make them more solid.

    these are just ideas i had. itz blog.. who the F@ck am i?..err.. an interested “fan” is more like it.

    @linus: That’s a great idea! I’ve been thinking of making a “start here” page for new readers. Since there’s no story for the comic, I could do a background sketch for the characters.

    Hey Saad, being a blogger myself, I totally agree with going with what ‘you’ want. When you’re unfunny, and people don’t like it, that’s fine. But the moment you’re not being true to yourself, people will see through it. So yeah, go with what you want and if you’re evolving or growing in a particular way, so be it. That’s the only thing you know is real anyway.

    Of course that doesn’t mean being pig-headed or insulated to criticism, that hampers growth and sucks ass.
