Damn you Microsoft Office Spell Check! You win again.
Dude, the RSS feed is borked. Can’t see the images inline in Google Reader.
@Saurabh: I’ll check it out in Google Reader. Although the comic images dont publish in the feeds. Only titles and summaries go out.
is he merely scratching his mustache in thoughtful contemplation or is the FINGER about to tunnel into his nose, seeking, no doubt, answers to his worldly conundrums in the cool environs of the left nostril?
@Garam: One may never know what goes inside the mind of the thinker. Needless to say, there are many mysteries to be explored in the dark depths of the nasal passage. A past-time rivaled only by the National Indian past-time of “crotch adjustments & exploration in public places”.
Why don’t you let entire strip go by feeds ?
Maybe one day… One day…
Anshul – err how dare you ask for a full RSS feed. Don’t you see the Google ads around the page?
Saad – awesome work! I find myself forwarding these around everyday. Keep it up
@Apurv: Like I mailed Anshul about why No Rss Feeds… Eversince the Phoenicians invented money, there’s only been one answer to that question.
Thanks for the forwards! Getting some decent traffic now. Maybe one day I can quit my soul sucking job and do this full time
@Saad

Great stuff mate
If the feed is burnt using feedburner, you can insert google ads in that too.
I am not sure, whether people take that much pain to hit the site from the reader to check out a cartoon. All cartoon blog/sites I have been following have entire strip coming to the reader, even if the site is ad supported.
and Saad, I don’t think I have received any email, if you have sent any.
I stumbled your site, I wonder why you didn’t do it, must have got pretty good spike of traffic then.
@Anshul: I DID mail you. In it I had said that I might start publishing full feeds in the future some time. Right now I’m checking out the feasibility of partial ones. It’s hard to turn something off later than it is to turn it on.
People are checking out the site through feeds. Lots of email subscribers too. And yeah, you CAN insert google ads in the feed, but I’m getting better results from other ad sources. So maybe I’ll stick with partial feeds for some time. A lot of webcomics do partial feeds – Cyanide and Happiness, PVP… in fact I couldn’t find the RSS on Toothpaste for Dinner at all.
I had stumbled a few comics before… I used to stumble individual comics, instead of the site. Same with Digg and Reddit. Stumbling the whole site is kind of risky, cause you dont know what the current comic is on the front page. That might prevent readers from going too deep, or subscribing.
But yeah, sure did get a huge spike from Stumbleupon. I was checking out live stats on Woopra (a great stats software BTW) and it started showing hits from all over the world. Went on for a few hours, then died down. Thanks for that!
Yeah k, looks like email go lost, somewhere, or the so called FBI, CIA etc are analysing it.
If people are hitting the site from the reader, its good, and toothpaste for dinner is not a user-friendly site, but you can only follow it through facebook application if you want.
Also, your site too is social bookmarking friendly, which is good.
evn i think abt these things and many more of this kind
