All those people who got all worked up after watching the nonstop LHC + News Channel fuckfest, did they ever wonder, if TV channels actually believed that the LHC will kill us all, why would they bother showing any advertisements, or worry about TRP ratings?
They’d go home, say Fuck You World, and wait to be sucked into the black hole.
Here’s some good reads on the topic from the blogosphere:
India TV tries to do LHC – Limericker
Channels cause mass hysteria over Big Bang – Editindia

LOL awesome comic. There were so many rumours around, especially
on my favourite comedy channel “India TV”. They have the
weirdest and most absurd news.
According to news, some girl in Madhya Pradesh actually committed
suicide after hearing this news
was kind of hoping the LHC insanity would get some royal FUF treatment. now i am happy
Hehehehehe…
Loadza bullshit! Btw, does anyone remember, a coupla weeks back, alot of newspapers were reporting that a Nazi war criminal was arrested from one of the Indian states, when he tried to sell a piano??? Almost all papers reported it! Turned out to be a hoax!!!!
Just goes on to show, how the media doesn’t really verify its shit! ;(
@sandeep: There had been rumors for so long. I guess ever since the project was proposed. There were death threats to the scientists and fundamentalist groups calling for the cancellation of the program. Obviously the Indian news channels saved it for the last moment to whip up the end-of-the-world frenzy. Sad one about the girl in MP. How is this not scare-mongering and disturbing the peace? Isnt there any law against such tactics? Arent they causing mass panic and hysteria? Anyone remember the monkey man from the last decade? Back then the channels werent as rabid as they are now. Now the monkey man would have been a national celebrity with guest appearances on Bigg Boss and other comedy shows.
@abhiroop:
Couldnt let it go, now could I? All thanks to the news channels. They give so many ideas for comics.
@rd: Yeah I remember that one. No one in the newspaper thought it a little absurd at that time? I mean, come on, a Nazi war criminal should’ve been about 90 years or more now. A few non-Indian newspapers had quite a laugh on that. There’s this another article about how Aaj Tak committed a blunder during the Delhi bomb blast coverage. And of course, never apologized.
Little does he know that the end of the world won’t come until the sixth angel has poured out his vial of wrath upon the Euphrates, and the battle of Armageddon commences. And there will be trumpets. Big, scary trumpets.
That was from http://www.jesusandmo.net/2008/09/11/cern/
@geek: I tried pouring hot vials of wrath on my Euphrates, but no trumpets sounded. That Jesus and Mo comic is pure unadulterated blasphemy and I shall only read it through a screen reader, to strip away the graven images, and to protect my eyes from being struck blind after seeing sights which humans were not meant to see.
maybe he should have gone here

Bubu?
@hades: A very informative site.
Bubu is his pet name. He likes it.
Who is Bubu?
Bubu is the guy with the cap…
Ok FINE! I made a lame pet name!! Let’s all get over it now!
I know a ‘great bong’ called Thobla. His brother’s name is Gobor. Gobor means gober, i.e. cowdung, in Bangla. Bubu is sheer class, sir.
Saad, I just stumbled across your site, and I’m hooked on to it. Just wanna let you know, you rock man! My stomach hurts after reading all the comics. Haven’t laughed so hard recently. Keep up the awesome work and keep making everyone laugh.
@sree: Thank you. Glad you have you as a subscriber.
Sorry, I approved your comment a little late, fucking gmail sent it into the spam folder.
Awesome comic, I like your site a lot. I especially like the last panel where bubu cries.
@Anorick: No problem there… Maybe my email had some hidden links trying to sell “Herbal Medicine to fix your puniness” or something. Gmail does that often.
Hehe … hope you saw these too

Great comic, as always. Here’s a nice video about the Hadron Collider: http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/brian_cox_on_cern_s_supercollider.html
